Grimshaw Club Events
As a society we hold many events throughout the academic year on LSE's premises, online and around London. Among these events are deep-dive lectures from specialists, informal discussions of current affairs, workshops and socials to meet other society members. Below you can see what events we have held in the past and what we will be holding soon!

China and the Winter Olympics Headlines
Following from the success of our Russia-Ukraine Headlines event, we will this time be discussing the controversial go-ahead of the Winter Olympics in China this year. Are the games ethical? Should sports teams boycott them? Does participation send the wrong message back home? All this and more to discuss with pizza and drinks!

Arctic Security Discussion at the Danish Embassy
Following our successful trip to the German Embassy earlier this term, we're visiting the Danish Embassy on the 1st of December to discuss the increasingly important topic of Arctic security and its consequences for states with territory in the Arctic region. This event requires preregistration.

This very special event with LSE alumni now serving in the Diplomatic service or related organisations will give students an insight into what it's like to work in these roles - the biggest stressors, the effects of seeing the real-world impact of your work and their favourite projects. Refreshments will be available at the start and end of the event for attendees.

Grimshaw Families Brunch
Join us in the CBG on the 3rd of December for an end-of-term Grimshaw 'families' brunch to catch up with your friends within the society! Even if you aren't a member of a Grimshaw family, we encourage members to attend to socialise with peers and those you may not have seen since the start of term!

Join us for an informal conversation with Dr Antonio Giustozzi on the recent US troops withdrawal from Afghanistan, the consequent Taliban takeover and the significance of such developments for the future of the country.
