As a society we hold many events throughout the academic year on LSE's premises, online and around London. Among these events are deep-dive lectures from specialists, informal discussions of current affairs, workshops and socials to meet other society members. Below you can see what events we have held in the past and what we will be holding soon!

Following from the success of our Russia-Ukraine Headlines event, we will this time be discussing the controversial go-ahead of the Winter Olympics in China this year. Are the games ethical? Should sports teams boycott them? Does participation send the wrong message back home? All this and more to discuss with pizza and drinks!

Arctic Security Discussion at the Danish Embassy

Following our successful trip to the German Embassy earlier this term, we're visiting the Danish Embassy on the 1st of December to discuss the increasingly important topic of Arctic security and its consequences for states with territory in the Arctic region. This event requires preregistration.

Afghanistan Coffee Morning

Join us for an informal conversation with Dr Antonio Giustozzi on the recent US troops withdrawal from Afghanistan, the consequent Taliban takeover and the significance of such developments for the future of the country. 

The event will start at 10:30am in the Weston Café (SU 6th floor). Come a bit earlier at 10am if you'd like to have a little breakfast with pastries and coffee (on us!).
